*REMINGTON MODEL 1917 RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 56437. 26" bbl dated "12-17". This 1917 Remington is one of the finest that cataloguer has had opportunity to observe. It retains nearly all of its finish with fine blued features throughout. There is a WWI 03 sling with some coated oxidation from storage. CONDITION: Receiver retains 98% or better of orig factory blue. Rear sight also contains all of its finish & is "R" marked. Bbl has some surface dirt on it but retains 98% of its finish as well as front sight which is also "R" marked. Front bbl band retains 90% of its finish with several light scratches on right side from (assumed) rack storage. Trigger guard & floorplate assembly show 98-99% orig finish with just a little dirt from being stored. Buttplate assembly shows 95% orig finish with slightest scratching on high spots from sitting in a rack. Buttstock assembly has a rack number, a brass rack tag of number "44" tacked into it just in front of butt plate, but other than that shows almost new with finger grooves being very sharp and eagle over "339" in front of floorplate is extremely legible. There are only the minutest scuff marks in buttstock anywhere. Rear hand guard is flawless, has no marks of any kind & front hand guard has very tiny nick approx. 1" behind front bbl band. *LOT OF THREE MILITARY RIFLES. 1) U.S. Model 1917 Enfield by Remington. Cal. 30-06. SN 630774. Usual configuration, Parkerized finish, "9-18" dated Remington 26" bbl, standard sights. Inventory numbers "568509" & "268509" lightly inscribed on receiver in three different places. It has a field replacement birch stock with orig walnut hand guards & an Eddystone bolt. CONDITION: Fine. Metal as well as wood is arsenal refinished with usual light nicks & scratches of a military rifle. Missing stacking swivel. Good mechanics, bright shiny bore. 2) U.S. Springfield Model 1903. Cal. 30-06. SN 1385366. Usual configuration, Parkerized finish, Springfield "2-42" dated 24" bbl, standard sights. Mounted in field replacement 1-pc walnut stock & hand guard with stamped metal trigger guard/floorplate & smooth buttplate. CONDITION: Fine. Metal & wood are arsenal refinished with usual light nicks & scratches of a military rifle. Mechanics are good. Bore is bright & shiny. 3) Springfield Armory M1 Garand. Cal. 30-06. SN 1399193. Usual configuration, re-weld with Parkerized finish, 24" bbl, standard sights, mounted in field replacement complete set of wood. Accompanied by orig web sling. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Metal & wood have a fine custom military finish with a few light nicks & scratches. Mechanics are good. Bore is extremely fine. Sling in great condition. *THREE US M-1 CARBINES. Cal. 30. 1) Standard Products. SN 2104826. With orig finish. 2) National Postal Meter. SN 4298610. With orig finish. 3) Underwood (B Code). SN 2627228. CONDITION: 1) Standard Products is in beautiful condition with better than 90% green Parkerizing throughout with a flat blued bolt. Rear sight has been upgraded to type-2 and bayonet lug has been added. Has a Marlin bbl and a mixture of Winchester and Inland parts throughout but each and every part is in very good condition. Has "S-HB" marked stock with ordinance wheel visible on right hand side and matching two-rivet hand guard. Wood has light scuffs and dings throughout but is very pleasing. Excellent bore. 2) National Postal Meter. Gun has orig finish, approximately 80-85% on all metal but has been rebuilt and retains a bayonet lug and type-3 rear sight as well as operating rod and trigger group upgrades. Rifle is in a birch M-2 potbelly stock with a birch 4-rivet hand guard. Excellent bore. 3) B-Coded Underwood. Has Underwood bbl, Inland stock as well as upgraded bayonet lug and sight and trigger group upgrades. Also has name "RW Rogers" electric penciled in operating rod. *THREE US M-1 CARBINES. Cal. 30. 1) Quality HMC. SN 1552421. 2) Rock-ola. SN 4575352. 3) Quality HMC. SN 4656078. CONDITION: 1) Appears to be Quality hardware receiver with approximately 90% orig finish, retains orig flip sight with a flat blued bolt that has no markings on it whatsoever. The op rod is correct in 90% plus condition. The trigger housing assembly is entirely National Postal Meter. The bbl assembly is a Rock-ola dated 12-42 with the orig type-1 band and sling swivel. The bbl is in approximately 60% condition with bright shiny bore. Stock is a very early Rock-ola I-cut with flaming bomb in channel and large ordinance wheel on right side. Stock has some fairly heavy scratching and gouging on rear portion with forward of pistol grip being in very good condition. Upper hand guard is correct 2-rivet in very good condition with only slightest of marring. Bright shiny bore. 2) Refinished to dark Parkerizing throughout with sight, safety, and bayonet lug upgrades. Rifle is in a low wood stock with a arsenal rebuild mark "BA" over "CAB" with a fake "W" in sling channel. Hand guard is in sanded refinish condition but is the 2-rivet type. Bright shiny bore. 3) Quality hardware is typical upgrade, refinished entirely with scattered pitting retaining 90% of the re-Parkerization. Trigger group parts have not been upgraded but are Inland. Underwood bbl is a replacement as it has orig finish on it and the buttstock is coded "IR-IP" with a modified to low wood and I-cut. Stock does have an arsenal stamp "AAG" deeply struck in left side of receiver directly below rear sight. Upper hand guard shows new with the exception of three medium sized gouges approximately 1" in front of receiver in left side, hand guard is a 2-rivet type. *THREE US M-1 CARBINES. Cal. 30. 1) IBM Corporation. SN 3768899. This gun is a rebuilt with all upgrades including round bolt, type-2 rear sight, bayonet lug, and trigger housing upgrades. In a M-2 potbelly stock. 2) Inland Div. SN 683281. Very early Inland receiver with orig finish that has been upgraded throughout and has a 9-43 bbl with bayonet lug, trigger housing upgrade, round bolt, type-3 rear sight. It is in a M-2 potbelly stock. 3) Inland Div. SN 5127035. Has orig bbl 4-44 but with all upgrades. Has bayonet lug added, round bolt, type-3 slide, type-2 rear sight, trigger housing is Underwood but retaining early Inland parts. Gun also has an early manufactured Inland stock with flaming bomb in channel as well as wheel on right side, high wood. CONDITION: 1) Has seen significant use. Retains approximately 70% orig finish but thin. Operating assembly shows scattered pitting. Trigger housing and bbl assembly show better than 90%. Gun is still a good type M-1 carbine that would be fun to shoot. Bright shiny bore. 2) This early Inland receiver has been upgraded throughout but the metal on the gun retains 90% orig finish. The wood is in very good condition with one slight chip on the top of the stock just below the rear sight knob. Has scattered scuffing and marring as the WWII military rifle wood. Bright shiny bore. 3) Inland Div. A spring of 1944 gun but has seen all the upgrades. The type-2 rear sight is correct for the gun but the trigger group has been changed and a bayonet lug added. Metal retains better than 90% orig finish and stock is in excellent condition with very slight scuffing and mars for being a early Inland high wood. Hand guard has two or three dents in it. **THREE US M-1 CARBINES. Cal. 30 M-1. This lot is of orig finished guns. 1) Inland Div. SN 629588. Orig unaltered xxx/xxx gun. 2) Saginaw S.G. SN 3523747. Has been rebuilt but retains its orig finish. 3) Inland Div. SN 939999. Orig finish receiver with no upgrades but has been through an arsenal, some parts have been changed. CONDITION: 1) This xxx/xxx gun retains approximately 95% orig finish with primary wear being on the top of the bolt and the bbl from the band being put on and removed as well as being in racks. The only thing that appears to have been changed is push button safety is marked "EW" but with the government free trade program that the M-1 carbines retained this safety could very well be orig as condition and age match the gun. Gun retains a type-3 rear sight with a type-2 bbl band. The stock is "IO" marked low wood with the large wheel very prominent on right side and what appears to be orig sling. Has 4-rivet hand guard which is proper but finish does not match. Bright shiny bore. 2) Gun is arsenal rebuilt but retains orig finish. Has typical upgrades, has type-3 round bolt, type-2 milled rear sight, bayonet lug, and type-3 safety and mag catch assemblies. Gun is in good condition with scuffs and dings throughout on the "IR" marked low wood stock. Receiver assembly is in 80-85% condition with bbl and front sight assembly about 60%. Bright shiny bore. 3) Rifle retains some 90% of its orig finish with type-1 rear sight and front bbl band assemblies. Somewhere along the line, probably in the arsenal, this gun got mixed up with a late Winchester as it has a late Winchester trigger guard assembly, slide, and round bolt, all "W" marked. The stock is also Winchester low wood but has been modified where the pistol grip meets the comb. The buttplate has also been painted black. *INLAND M1 CARBINE. Cal. 30 Carb. SN 933804. Beautiful carbine with 18" Inland bbl dated "11-43". It has bayonet lug, flat bolt & flip safety with ramp rear sight & is accompanied by a 5-rnd magazine, canvas sling & oiler. It is fitted with beautiful, nicely figured early walnut stock & hand guard with stock having a small ordnance wheel & "SG" cartouche on right side. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retains most of its greenish parkerized finish with some light wear on rails. Stock is sound & retains most of its fine oil finish. *SMITH & WESSON MARK I SEMI-AUTO CARBINE. Cal. 9 mm. SN 113. Unusual carbine with 10-xxx/xxx" fluted bbl, blued receiver with unusual magazine box that houses the 20-rd magazine and also is the ejection chute for the fired cases. It has a tall thick front sight & a windage adjustable rear sight. Fitted with a Bakelite buttstock with serrated metal buttplate and sling loops around the bbl & on the left side of the butt with an orig brown leather sling. Left side of the butt has a red aluminum tag imprinted "EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS DO NOT LOAD OR FIRE". CONDITION: Extremely fine, as new. Probably unfired, retains virtually all of its orig factory finish overall. A rare WWII era experiment that was never very successful. Mounted in a full length walnut stock with sling swivel on the middle band & on the stock. Receiver is dated "1888". CONDITION: Extremely fine, all parts are matching numbered. *FINE BRAZILIAN CONTRACT MAUSER RIFLE WITH TARGET & BAYONET. Cal. 7 mm. SN 5173. Standard production rifle with 30" tapered rnd bbl, barleycorn front sight & 2000 meter ski jump rear sight. It has the Brazilian crest over the chamber with the Mauser banner over the rear receiver bridge. It is mounted in light colored European walnut with two bands, cleaning rod & its orig sling. It is accompanied by its matching numbered bayonet with blued steel sheath & its orig paper target dated "1937" shot from 50 meters. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, pristine new, all matching. Retains virtually all of its brilliant orig factory finish to both metal & wood with a minor crease or two in the finish. All edges are crisp & the blue is very bright. RARE CIVILIAN WINCHESTER LEE NAVY STRAIGHT PULL BOLT ACTION MUSKET. Cal. 6.5 Lee Navy. SN. 13610. Standard musket with 28" slim tapered rnd bbl with military sights, short upper hand guard that is from another type of rifle & a front band with stacking swivel & bayonet lug. The military style ladder rear sight is graduated to 2000 yards. The receiver ring has only the SN with no navy markings or cartouches & it has musket patent information on the left side of receiver. It is mounted in a 1-pc walnut stock with nicely figured butt & smooth musket buttplate with trap. It has a sling loop on the middle band & correspondingly on the buttstock with a replacement, probably Winchester, sling swivel. It also has the musket bolt with a single gas hole. Accompanied by a Cody Firearms Museum letter identifying this rifle as having been shipped July 13, 1898. CONDITION: Bbl retains 92-93% orig blue with a few scattered spots of pitting & some thinning just in front of the hand guard. Receiver & cartridge box retain about 85% thin orig blue. Wood is sound with minor storage and handling marks, with the aforementioned replaced hand guard, retains most of its orig oil finish. *RARE REMINGTON MODEL 1911A1 TOOL ROOM MODEL. Cal. 45 ACP. NSN. Early configuration 1911A1 with 5" military bbl that has an "S" & "P" proof on the left side of the lug and it has the usual Remington Rand slide markings on the left side. There is a backward "7" and an "O" under the firing pin keeper, otherwise there are no other discernable marks on the entire pistol. It has the war time production rough finish that is blued, not Parkerized, and has fixed sights, full checkered orig walnut grips and an all blued magazine that may be a more recent replacement. These tool room samples were without serial numbers never inspected and were not intended for release outside the factory and were frequently destroyed in testing. CONDITION: Fine to very fine. Slide retains 95-96% dull blue and the frame about 60% orig blue with a gray front strap with some moderate pitting toward the toe. Bbl retains about 95% orig blue with a brilliant shiny bore. *REMINGTON RAND MODEL 1911A1 SEMI-AUTO MILITARY PISTOL. Cal. 45 ACB. SN 2448566. Usual configuration with 5" bbl, gray/green parkerized finish with full checkered brown composition grips and full blue magazine with "O" manufactures code on the toe. Accompanied by its orig arsenal craft colored 2-pc box with serial number penciled on the lid which contains some of the orig waxed packing paper. Also accompanying is the orig outside shipping sleeve with address label with return address of the National Rifle Association and Letterkenny Ordanance Depot with the date 3-19-62. CONDITION: Appears to be new and unfired retaining virtually all of its orig factory finish with a coating of grease. Grips are crisp and the magazine is new. Brilliant shiny bore. Inside box is as new with some light soil. Shipping sleeve is fine with old nylon shipping tape. SCARCE COLT MODEL 1911A1 TRANSITION SEMI AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 45ACP. SN 712115. All blue finish with full checkered brown plastic grips with large donuts around the screws. The slide is matching numbered to the frame. The slide is marked "Model of 1911. U.S. Army" on the right side, with full markings & patent dates on the left. The frame has Colt proofs on left web of trigger guard & a simple P proof above the magazine release on left side. Right side is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the SN. There is a tiny "38" on right web of trigger guard. Bbl is military blued and probably the orig bbl marked on lower left side "COLT 45 AUTO" & a "P" on left side of lug. Bottom of bbl has proofs "ING". No other areas were observed to be marked. CONDITION: Slide retains 90-92% orig blue with front edge & sharp edge wear & some chemical spots on the left side. Frame retains strong bright orig blue on sides with a gray front strap and spring housing. Safeties & slide release retain most their orig blue. Mechanics are fine. Bright shiny bore. This is an entirely lend-lease pistol with Colt frame with Remington-UMC slide. It has British proofs on right side by serial number & "NOT ENGLISH MAKE". There are also British proofs on bbl & slide making this an as issued pistol. CONDITION: Fine. Retains about 80% orig finish. Grips are sharp. COLT MODEL 1902 MILITARY SEMI AUTO PISTOL. Cal. 38ACP. SN 42106. Blue finish with 6" bbl, fixed sights and slide lock, made without safety. It has 2-pc orig black hard rubber grips, a spur hammer and a lanyard loop in the left heel. CONDITION: Very fine. Overall retains about 98% of a wonderful professionally restored finish, possible factory. There are a few light freckles on the slide and frame toward the muzzle, otherwise the bluing is near perfect. Good mechanics. It is accompanied by a 1917 dated military holster that has the WWI dog tag of 1st LT. J. C. Morris of the 345th Infantry. Consignor states he purchased this revolver directly from Lt. Morris. CONDITION: Revolver is extremely fine. All matching including the grips which has the penciled serial number in the right side. Retains about 98% strong bright orig blue with very minor edge wear and a spot of flaking on the left forward side of the frame and in the radius behind the trigger guard with a few small spots on the side plate. It is accompanied by its orig red velvet lined black leatherette case, which contains the pistol, three bbl weights, and a bbl weight bracket, screwdriver and cartridge block. It also has its orig cardboard shipping sleeve. CONDITION: Extraordinarily fine, as new. Appears to be unfired retaining virtually all of its pristine orig factory finish to both metal & wood.
